Many workings pros are intrigued by the Sony Alpha offering – full-frame mirrorless cameras that are more than meeting the demands of full-time professional photographers. Brent and I loaned some Sony kit for a month and it resulted in a full-scale switch after testing it across weddings, portraits, boudoir and some commercial shoots.
Reading specs and reviews is interesting but nothing beats using a system and testing features such as Eye AF and the electronic silent shutter yourself. This is why we have organised a day to allow people to experience the Sony Alpha system for themselves.
In the morning we will run through the menu system and explain features such as:
• Sony Customisation
• The Autofocus System
• Eye AF
• Face Detection and Registration
• Focus Magnifier
• The Dual Shutter System
Following lunch, which will be provided, we will head into the grounds with a bride and groom and allow you to have a go at shooting the Sony system. Profoto will also be present to demo some flash scenarios common to wedding photographers.
