Description
Learn to shoot video – for photographers.
Most professional photographers now have DSLRs or mirrorless cameras capable of capturing film yet many have not even pressed the record button to create their first film.
Video content is a vital marketing tool for photography businesses today. We all know that Google is the largest search engine in the World but they also own the second largest – YouTube.
Due to YouTube also being a search engine they prioritise SEO optimised video content over stills and give video a higher ranking on search pages for specific keywords. Embedding YouTube videos in your website can significantly increase conversion rates, as video establishes trust with visitors unlike anything else – particularly when the business owner speaks in the production.
Due to photographers having knowledge of lighting and composition, it is considered to be much easier to make the move from stills to film than the other way around. In the last 18 months, we have evolved our business to include a cinematography offering – from short highlights to full films and even aerial footage and are now being commissioned to shoot commercial work too (see www.bylumiere.co.uk).
